Megan Anna Rapinoe grew up in California, Redding. She was born there on July 5, 1985. Megan first began playing soccer when she was a child and developed her skill during her teenage years. The U.S. Team was defeated in the quarterfinals of Rio. Rapinoe first participated in the FIFA Women's World Cup in the year 2011. In 2015 and 2019, her efforts have assisted the U.S. Women's World Cup winning team achieve consecutive championships. In 2018, Rapinoe was made cocaptain. Rapinoe was awarded two bronze medals in the United States' 4-3 win over Australia at the Tokyo Olympics 2020. Japan has been postponed until 2021 because of the COVID-19 virus pandemic.
